TAT: Arkansas Basketball A-Z - Kingsley

This article originally appeared on December 24, 2013 on The Arkansas Traveler website, uatrav.com.

Freshman center Moses Kingsley was half of Arkansas’ 2013 recruiting class that was ranked No. 14 in the country by Scout.com.
Kingsley moved to Mississippi from Nigeria in the 10th grade and quickly became the top basketball player in the state, before attending national basketball-power Huntington Prep in West Virginia his senior year.
At Huntington Prep, he averaged 8.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game. Playing alongside top recruit Andrew Wiggins, his 130 blocks during the season led the team.
His play earned him a top 50 ranking by 247sports.com, Scout.com and ESPN.com, as well as nine scholarship offers from schools such as Florida, Louisville and Memphis.
However, he chose to play with his teammate with the Arkansas Wings Elite AAU team, Bobby Portis, at Arkansas.
Despite not starting a game this season and playing only 10.3 minutes per game, Kingsley leads the team with two blocked shots per game and is fifth on the team with 3.8 rebounds per game. He is also the most efficient shooter on the team, making 64.3 percent of the shots he takes.
His coming out party came against Tennessee-Martin, when he scored 12 points, hauled in 12 rebounds and blocked three shots.
While he is just a freshman, Kingsley will give the Razorbacks a second big man to either play alongside Portis or relieve him when he is tired or in foul trouble.
