Junior forward Alandise Harris is one of four Razorbacks averaging
at least 10 points per game this season.
Despite playing 31 less minutes than freshman Bobby Portis, Harris
has only one less point than Portis, averaging 11.6 points per game. That is
third-most on the team.
Before coming to Arkansas, he started 46 games and played in 57 at
Houston. With the Cougars, he averaged 9.4 and 13.3 points per game as a
freshman and sophomore, respectively.
The Little Rock native scored 18 points and earned SportsCenter’s
No. 1 play on the Top 10 with a put-back dunk against the Razorbacks at Verizon
Arena in his hometown. Houston won the game 87-78.
He transferred to Arkansas after his sophomore season and had to
sit out last year because of the NCAA’s transfer rules.
Through 10 games with the Razorbacks, he has not only emerged as a
top scorer at Arkansas, but also pulled in 4.9 rebounds and dished out 1.7
assists per game.
Harris is the team’s second-leading shot blocker, with 15, and
leads the Razorbacks in steals, with 11, as well.
