TAT: By the Numbers - The Samford Game and More


These numbers originally appeared in the September 11, 2013 issue of The Arkansas Traveler.

3,072 - Career assists by senior setter Raymariely Santos. She is only the third setter in UA volleyball history with 3,000 assists.
5,886 - Career assists by Tina Rico from 1994-1997, the UA record.
2 - Double overtime victories by the Arkansas women’s soccer team through six games this season.
3-8-16 - Arkansas’ record in double overtime games before this season.
3 - Combined perfect scores by the men’s and women’s cross country teams in dual meets against Missouri and Missouri Southern Friday. The women had perfect scores against both opponents, while a third place finish by Missouri Southern’s top runner kept the men from two perfect scores.
172, 126 - Total rushing yards by true freshman Alex Collins and sophomore Jonathan Williams against Samford. Both Collins and Williams also broke the 100-yard mark against Louisiana last week, making it the first time in UA history that Arkansas had a pair of 100-yard rushers in the first two games of the season.
3 - Teams in the NCAA with multiple 100-yard rushers in each of their first two games. Oregon and Wisconsin are the other two teams.
303 - Total rushing yards by Collins through two games. He is the first freshman in school history with over 100 rushing yards in each of his first two career games.
757 - Total rushing yards by Dennis Johnson for the Razorbacks last season, which led the team.
312.5 - Rushing yards per game by the Razorbacks as a team. This ranks first in the SEC and 11th in the country.
130 - Rushing yards per game by the Razorbacks as a team through the first two games last season.
221 - Total offensive yards gained by Samford in the first three quarters of the game. Arkansas gained 295 during that same time span.
10 - Total offensive yards gained by Samford in the fourth quarter. Arkansas gained 163 total yards in the fourth quarter.
47,358 - Attendance at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock for the Samford game. It was the lowest attendance for an Arkansas home game in 11 years.
42,814 - Attendance at War Memorial Stadium for the Nov. 2, 2002, game against Troy State. The Razorbacks won 23-0.
