TAT: By the Numbers - The Florida Game and More


These stats were originally compiled for the October 9, 2013 issue of The Arkansas Traveler.

8 - SEC victories by the Arkansas soccer team since Colby Hale became the head coach prior to the 2012 season. That is the most SEC victories in a coach’s first two seasons in UA history, breaking Alan Kirkup’s record of seven, set in 1999 and 2000.
3 - Goals scored by Arkansas in their 5-3 loss to LSU Wednesday. That is the most goals scored by the Razorbacks in a loss since a 4-3 loss to the Tigers Oct. 28, 2005.
5 - Razorback men’s cross country runners that finished in the top 12 at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday in Fayetteville. This performance earned a score of 31 and the team victory, 13 points ahead of the second place team.
8 - Razorback women’s cross country runners that finished in the top 10 at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday in Fayetteville. Arkansas won the team event and was one point shy of a perfect score.
15 - National ranking of senior golfer Emily Tubert, according to Golfweek.com. She won the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Classic Sept. 22.
22-0 - Combined score of the Arkansas softball team’s victories over Butler Community College and Evangel Oct. 2. The Razorbacks beat Butler CC 8-0 and Evangel 14-0.
111 - Rushing yards gained by the Razorbacks against No. 18 Florida Saturday. The most rushing yards allowed by the Gators in a single game this season before playing Arkansas was 66 against Tennessee.
6’10” - Height of freshman offensive lineman Dan Skipper. He has used his large frame to block two field goals this season, with his latest coming in the first quarter against Florida Saturday.
2009 - The last time an Arkansas player blocked multiple field goals in a single season. Seth Armbrust had two blocked field goals that year.
42.9, 3 - Average yards per punt and punts downed inside the 20-yard line by junior punter Sam Irwin-Hill in 10 punts at home this season. His longest punt at home was a 49-yarder against Southern Miss.
44.2, 6 - Average yards per punt and punts downed inside the 20-yard line by Irwin-Hill in 13 punts on the road this season. His longest punt on the road was a 60-yarder against Florida.
99 - Total offensive yards gained by true freshman running back Alex Collins against Florida Saturday. He had 54 yards on 13 carries and 45 yards on five receptions, for an average of 5.5 yards per touch.
8 - Kickers in the FBS that have not missed a field goal or extra point this season, including Arkansas senior Zach Hocker, who is 8-for-8 on field goals and 17-for-17 on extra points.
