THE GAME: Bentonville Black capped its season with a victory over Southwest at Tiger Stadium, led by another strong performance by running back Jacob Clark.

Clark had 194 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.

"He obviously had a good night tonight," Black coach Chris Hutchens said. "He did some of that, but the guys up front did a good job and the receivers did a good job giving him some lanes."

The Tigers (5-5) got on the board first with an 8-yard touchdown run by Clark in the first quarter. He added a 62-yard scamper in the second quarter.

The Cougars' (2-8) only points came on the first play of the second quarter when they sacked Black running back Parker Evans in the end zone for a safety.

Black's defense held Southwest quarterback Trey Smith to only 39 yards on 14 carries.

Southwest beat Bentonville Lincoln 27-7 in the eighth-grade game.
