SPRINGDALE
-- Coming off an injury-plagued season, Mitch Maier knows he still has good
baseball ahead of him.
The
former big leaguer joined the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on May 1 despite
playing only 31 games for Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the Boston Red Sox Triple-A
affiliate, in 2013.
"I
was healthy through my entire career until last year, when I got hurt in spring
training," Maier said. "Then it was a spiral the rest of the
season."
